Eldon Harold Wagenblass

1924-2014

Passed away peacefully at his home in Dunrobin with his family by his side Monday evening, December 8, 2014.


Eldon Wagenblass at the age of 90 years. Beloved husband of the late Gwen Wagenblass (nee Neely).


Dear father of Kevin (Liz) and Lynn (Jacques). Predeceased by son Gary (Linda). Cherished grandfather of Brian, Jason, Cory, Sarah, Cody and Benjamin.


Much loved G.G. of Jacob, Jackson and Abigail. Dear brother of Reg Wagenblass (late Shirley) and Faye (Claire) Symington.


Will be missed by Gail, Gord, Warren, Kirk and many nieces and nephews. Son of the late C.W. Wagenblass and Annie Buder.


Eldon’s family would like to thank Dr. Connell and the Palliative Care Nurses, Tasma, Mesgana and Mariesol for their excellent care and compassion.

Visitation at the Boyce Funeral Home, Chapel, Visitation and Reception Centre, 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior Friday December 12, 2014 after 9:30 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. in the Boyce Chapel.


Interment St. Paul’s United Church Cemetery at a later date.

In memoriams to the Leukemia Society of Canada would be appreciated by his family.

I met Eldon Wagenblass when he came to one of our T & E lunches with Ernie Brown but did not know his background. I recall that he had been in Montreal when you and Clay Hiltz were there in the 50`s. I think you said he was a Tech who had worked with Clay on the ICAO Cw circuit to Gander and the UK. I am forwarding the obit for Eldon to Donald and Laval for the web site. Could you let them know if you have anything more about Eldon`s career?

I have forwarded the obit to Ernie Brown.
