Subject: Retirement of Marie Cunningham

 

After 33 years in the federal public service, Marie Cunningham, Chief, Publishing Services, is retiring on March 11, 2011. 

 

Marie has worked in communications roles in a number of different branches of Industry Canada, primarily in the Minister's Office and Corporate Services.  She came to DGSO in December 1999 to lead the Publishing Services team.  Many of us have worked closely with Marie, as she has been responsible for managing the web presence of the Spectrum Management Program, including editing and publishing all spectrum-related documents.  Her ability to manage large volumes of information and competing corporate pressures has consistently allowed our clients to have a clear, user-friendly Internet portal to access timely information about the Program.  Within her team, Marie is regarded as a compassionate manager with wonderful interpersonal skills and, as such, she will be greatly missed.
